The beach
At the end of Afissos, is the second most famous beach of the village, Abovos. It is a marvelous beach with fine sand and great amenities. The calm waters of the Pagasetic are ideal for everyone to enjoy their swims while the more active visitors can indulge into watersport activities. Before entering Afissos you might notice the long coast of Kalifteri, a famous beach with similar characteristics to Abovos and equally attractive. Next to Kalifteri and before Afissos is a smaller more secluded bay with no organization, the beach of Lagoudi.
The beach is within walking distance from the central square of Afissos where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner after your swims. The village and the beach can be accessed by car and public transport.
Before leaving Abovos remember to admire the beautiful sunset, the red and orange pallets of the sky combined with the tranquil sea, leave an unforgettable picture to every visitor.
