What you will see
At the scenic and quiet Anilio, village of the Mouresi municipality is the magnificent church of Agios Athanasios, a basilica build in 1785. For its construction,stones were used while the roof is made of wood, covered with slates. Moving towards the interior of the church, you will admire the elaborate wooden iconostasis, a fine sample of Greek baroque and the magnificent despotic throne. Lastly, you will see within the walls, plates from Greek workshops in Izmir and Cairo.
