What you will see
The village of Tsagarada had the chance to experience the benefactions of many eminent men and families, one of who was the benefactor Nicholas Nanopoulos, who founded in the village the “Nanopouleio” school. Potraying the neoclassical architecture of the 20th century, it was built in 1909 and originally served as a School of Economics, with high reputation and popularity.
The impressive building, which has a central area with two floors and two storey buildings as side extensions, was built with stones whereas its wooden roof is covered with the typical Pelion plates.
It has been characterized as a work of art since 1985 and in 1993 repair works begun. The building today houses the village’s primary school of the village and occasionally various cultural events are organized.
