In 1910, as informed by a related sign, it was decorated with murals from Theofilos who lived in the area of Volos and Pelion for many years on the early 20th century and painted other buildings as well such as houses and coffee shops. Theofilos, painted nine murals, eight on the interior and one in the building's front and are preserved in perfect condition until today. In these murals, various heroic figures are displayed from history and tradition such as Erotokritos and Aretousa, Markos Botsaris and Kostas Garefis. Every painting has inscriptions underneath such as “ Hellas, reborn” from the exterior painting or “Samson kills a lion with bravery” at one of the remaining eight murals. All of them have vibrant colors and almost flat forms, painting elements that are found in every work of Theofilos.
