The beach
In the settlement of Paltsi, 13km away from the village of Argalasti is the beach of Paltsi or Agios Konstantinos. One of the most visited and known beaches of south Pelion that attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is on the Aegean Sea and features golden fine sand, and clear blue waters surrounded by dense nature. Its position is such that protects the beach from north and northeastern winds and despite other Aegean beaches, the sea is always calm without waves. Close to the sea, ends a river that starts from the mountain.
The beach is not organized, so you better have your own umbrella and sunbed. For dinning, around the settlement are various taverns and restaurants that offer local delicacies.
In the area of Paltsi, that seems to have gotten its name from the Slavic word “balto” that means swamp are many sights you can visit. One of these is the church of Taxiarchon (Archangels) constructed in 1776 by Stergios Mpasdekis. For honoring the church, a great fair is organized on the 5 & 6 of September, celebrating the Archangels. Also, many trails start from this area for the lovers of hiking.
Finally, a great advantage of this beautiful region is the easy access by road from Argalasti.
