The beach

Ovrios or Vrios is one of the quietest and deserted beaches of Pelion in the Aegean Sea, offering isolation, relaxation and swims into a charming natural landscape. A virgin sandy beach with big rocks and dense foliage surrounding it providing constant shade. It doesn’t have any organization and its location is ideal for camping.

Ovrios is one of the last beaches of East Pelion to the north and serves as the port for Pouri. If you decide to visit it, take note that you’ll need a proper vehicle such as 4x4 to go through the difficult dirt road.

At the beach of Ovrios pours the stream of Lagonikas, the largest fountain of Pelion having unlimited gushing waters to the area. Nearby, are the stone arched bridges of Diakoumi and Porou, which are worth visiting and snap a picture next to them.

However, the most impressive attraction is the town of Palia (old) Mitzela that lay in ruins nearby. The remains of this ghost town with its turbulent history are located in the forest above the beach while some reach the coast. To visit this mystique area just follow the rough trail from the beach.
